Sea Ranch Lakes is a village in Broward County, Florida. The village was named after a popular hotel called Sea Ranch Hotel. Sea Ranch Lakes is located on A1A, surrounded by Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The majority of Sea Ranch Lakes is a walled-in gated community with just over 200 single family homes. The remainder of the village is a shopping plaza and a private beach club for residents of the village and their guests.
Homes in Sea Ranch are either on dry lots, on the Intracoastal or on one of two connecting lakes. There are approximately 47 lakeside homes, 28 direct Intracoastal front homes and 130 unique non-waterfront homes. Home values range in price from $800,000 to over $5,000,000 depending on their size, location and condition.
The lakes are fresh water and are filled with fish, turtles and ducks. It is only catch and release on the lake and no motor boats are allowed. On any given day you will see many species of birds fishing in the lake or just perched in the trees. Any resident can paddleboard or fish or kayak on the lakes. There is a dock with for access for residents that do not live directly on the lake.
Sea Ranch Lakes Homes are serviced by FP&L and all of the wires are buried underground which makes it aesthetically pleasing. The homes are all on individual septic tanks, but the shopping center is connected to the sewer system in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Fire and EMS are sub-contracted with Pompano Beach Fire Department. Water services are provided by the City of Fort Lauderdale.
The Sea Ranch Lakes Beach Club hosts numerous parties for the residents throughout the year. Some of the many highlights include the all day 4th of July Barbeque, the Adult only Holiday Party and Santa’s Hayride for the kids. There is a lot of good old fashioned fun in a relaxed atmoshpere. The recently rebuilt clubhouse includes a fabulous kitchen and bar that may be reserved by residents only Monday-Saturday for private parties. Many family weddings and birthdays are celebrated in this beautiful facility.
Sea Ranch shares a zip code with Fort Lauderdale and is located just .8 miles north of Commercial Boulevard in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. It is walking distance to all the great shops and restaurants in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
